NELIA
Migration Studies
Nelia Balgoa is currently a professor of the English Department and Director of Monitoring and Evaluation of MSU-IIT. She holds a doctorate in Human Sciences and an MA in Language and Culture from Osaka University, studying under a full Japanese government (MEXT) scholarship. She is the former editor-in-chief of Langkit Journal, the official journal of the College of Arts and Social Sciences of MSU-IIT. She was a fellow of the Asia Leadership Fellow Program of the Japan Foundation and International Deans’ Course of German Exchange Academic Service and a recipient of the Sumitomo Foundation Research Grant. Her research interests include language and Philippine migration, language and culture and Philippine Literature.
ANGE
Organizational Management

Cezar Belangel has worked to strengthen organizations for over four decades.  From community organizing of farmer cooperatives in rural towns, Ange's unique gift of impassioned effectiveness has brought him to national leadership positions -- at the Philippine Partnership for the Development of Human Resources in Rural Area (PhilDHRRA) as National Coordinator, at the Caucus of Development NGO Networks (CODE-NGO) as Deputy Executive Director, at the Pambansang Kilusan ng mga Samahang Magsasaka (PAKISAMA) as Operations Manager -- and now to international organizations at the Asian Partnership for the Development of Human Resources in Rural Areas (AsiaDHRRA) as Senior Program Manager.  Ange completed his Economics degree from the Ateneo de Naga University and completed postgraduate work in Economics at the Asian Social Institute.

SIMON
Development Management

Simon Gregorio is a development manager by education and an environmental and social advocate by passion. He specialises in project management, specifically the social aspects (labor, health and safety, land acquisition and resettlement, vulnerable groups), the monitoring and evaluation of the project's progress and impacts and the larger organisational and governance context.  He has solid, in-depth experience in the development of social enterprises and livelihoods for those in the bottom of the pyramid.  Simon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from the Ateneo de Manila University and a Masters in Development Management degree from the Asian Institute of Management.

ITO
Survey Specialist

Ito Jimenez is a critical realist. He believes that surveys capture what we see, think and feel of a reality that is much more than what we see, think and feel.  Ito sees himself as an entrepreneur at his core - one who finds better ways of doing the same things.  He spent a decade and a half as a pioneer in bringing internet access and computers to provincial households.  The following decade and a half he spent overseas understanding the challenging lives of Filipino migrants.  Ito did his undergraduate degree at the Ateneo (Sociology/Anthropology).  He picked up a Masters degree in Business Administration also at the Ateneo and a doctorate in Human Sciences at Osaka University.

MONO
Entrepreneurship

Roden Rojo is a trailblazing entrepreneur.  As President of Red Zeal Realty & Communities Development Corporation, Mono established his company as among the elite real estate brokers in Naga City and Legazpi City winning top brokerage awards with his innovative, highly personalized approaches to customer management.  He is in top leadership positions in two other real estate corporations doing sales and marketing and property development.  Mono holds a degree in Political Science from the Ateneo de Naga University and a Masters in Development Management from the Asian Institute of Management.

RANDY
Economist

Randy Tuaño is associate professor and chair of the Economics Department, Ateneo de Manila University. He is also currently serving as a core faculty member of the Ateneo School of Government and is Program Manager, Sustainable Development Goals, Ateneo Institute of Sustainability. He has also served in government as Director III of the National Anti-Poverty Commission and was program manager of the Ateneo Center for Social Policy and Public Affairs. Randy completed his doctorate degree in Economics at the School of Economics, University of the Philippines. He has also earned a Master of Arts in Development Economics degree in the University of Sussex in the United Kingdom.
