Positions (135 – 150 words) state and explains respondents’ positions on a question. There are two types: Solicited Positions and Unsolicited Positions. A Solicited Positions are respondents’ answer to a question posed by SP.A. Unsolicited Positions are respondents’ answers to a question they pose to themselves.

For example:

On a question posed by SP.A asking “Would you take the Covid-19 vaccine?” respondents submit a Solicited Position on why they would or would not take the Covid-19 vaccine.

On a question that respondents, say, have always found themselves asking when they see street children begging for money (“How can that child’s parents allow him/her to become like this?”), respondents submit an Unsolicited Position on the impossible situation poor parents face that leave them unable to care for their children.
